Story: Taylor and I ran around Otakon 2002 hugging and glomping random people. Just because its fun. Of course one can't run around hugging people without choosing favorites. XDD

We first saw this guy dressed as Tidus on Friday, and marveled at how he obtained such a good replica of the Brootherhood (the sword Wakka gives to Tidus). Taylor marveled that he had very pretty eyes, and I agreed.

There were a bunch of other Tiduses walking around, and we gave them all nicknames. We happened to come up with "Pretty-Eyes Tidus" for this guy, and it stuck. Which is better than "Ugly-Ass Tidus" and "That Other Tidus." ^_~

Unfortunately, we couldn't find him on Saturday (because were weren't looking for that uber-spiff Dark Vash), but he showed up again on Sunday as a pretty Tidus/Dark Vash hybrid.

Taylor ran over and took his picture (as many other fan girls were doing also), and asked for a hug. She ended up squashed between Pretty-Eyes and some other girl begging for a hug. Ten points for her. ©_O

We saw him again later, so Taylor had to hug him again and proclaim "You have really pretty eyes!" He actually said "Thank you," but my guess is that he was kind of freaked out...

Between my "Hug Me!" sign and Pretty-Eyes walking kind of fast, we had issues stalking him that day. Later on at the FF-costume-congregation we ran by him, and Taylor practically screamed. He shook his head at us; whether he was laughing, annoyed or something else, we shall never know.

That's the story. You always need someone to follow around at conventions; it makes everything more fun. I just wish we had caught his name though. u_u Oh well.

News as of 6/2003: Thanks to Emii, we now know that PE-Tidus' name is Brian, and that he's from Cucumber Studios. His cosplaylab profile is here. And no, we're still not stalking him.
